New proposed story-line
—New Alternate Reality Story Line—
This story-line is based on the premise of certain characters swapping personalities. The main switch would be centred around Sookie & Jason Stackhouse.
To begin Sookie would loose her naivete & knack for problem solving. Instead she would appear more of an ‘air-head’ that uses her mind reading ability to become the top ‘town bike’. Jason would be more intelligent, sheltered, sensitive, & terribly afraid of his fae charm(which would be much more increased in order to further plot development.)& see it as a sort of curse. He will have issues getting close to people since he can never be sure that they are truly fond of him or just under his charm. Vampires, of course, will be immune to this charm allowing Jason an outlet for friendship & possibly love. Likewise the fae element in Jason’s blood would be increased while Sookie’s would be decreased. As for interactions with other characters they would be much the same as the books only with Jason & Sookie switched respectively. Bill Compton will still be sent by the queen to Bon Temps in order to pro-cour a fae/human hybrid only this time it is Jason. Bill will try to coerce Jason into his thrall by any means necessary including but not limited to attempting to form a romantic relationship. Jason, at this point, would be convinced that he is a normal good christian boy & could never be in a relationship with another man. Subsequently a friendship of sorts will develop. In order to clear his friend Rene’s name from being suspected of murder Jason will ask that Bill take him to fangtasia. Bill, wanting to keep Jason from Eric Northman’s radar/steer Jason’s opinion of Eric, will reluctantly agree. Once Eric meets Jason he will immediatly recognize his fae element become fascinated with it. Jason in turn will begin to feel strangely entranced by Eric but is confused by these feelings & apprehensive of Eric due to Bill’s influence. Eventually Eric will save Jason’s life by killing Longshaddow while Jason is charming fangtasia employees in order to discover who is stealing from Eric. Eric & Pam will pin this on Bill causing him to face trial & be ordered to become a maker to Jessica Hamby. Bill will proceed to hide his new childe from Jason thinking that she will hamper his efforts at coercion. He was right but not how he expects. Once Jason meets Jessica he begins to fall for her. To him she is the perfect vampire version of the girl he is supposed to love by society’s standards. As his relationship with Jessica progresses he will form a sort of bond with Eric which melds into a strange friendship with attraction dancing around just under the surface. Jason, while being accepting of homosexuals, has serious qualms about being homosexual himself. Situations will start to come up where Jason & Eric’s feelings & attraction for one another will unwittingly surface. Meanwhile, Jason & Bill’s friendship will become increasingly strained until the eventual ‘great betrayal’ where Jason discovers Bill’s mission from the queen. This will begin the pushing of Jason & Eric closer together which will drive Jessica to cheat on Jason with Hoyt Fortenberry(possibly another character I’m open to suggestions). Jessica’s unfaithfulness along with Eric always standing by Jason will be what finally cements Jason & Eric’s relationship. ***note: I do not envision this a a weak or more femme gay relationship. The inspiration for this relationship comes from the Torchwood pairing of Captian Jack Harkness & Ianto Jones. They were a strong & still masculine couple & that is what I see for Jason & Eric as well.***
Many other events from the books will occur as well as original content. As in the books Eric will be the one to introduce the exact fae heritage only to Jason in lieu of Sookie. The fae will play a much bigger part in Jason’s life. The fae story-line that currently exists with OtherWorldRP will be integrated into this story-line. In addition to the personalities of Jason & Sookie being switched there should also be other characters whose roles are also reversed. These characters can be chosen depending on the interest of the members.
